Our first submission into the gallery in 2022, came from our friends at RGD. The Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD) is an industry organization where designers can exchange ideas, educate, inspire, set professional standards and build a strong, supportive community dedicated to advocating for the value of design.

The In-House Design Awards book showcases some of the most effective examples of creative solutions from in-house design teams across North America. RGD’s 2021 Annual In-House Award book was designed by Herschel Supply and printed by Moveable on Lynx 100 lb. Cover and 80 lb. Text.

Toothache is a small self-published magazine made entirely by chefs with an intimate look into some of the world’s most celebrated award-winning chefs. The magazine is a collaborative project not only dedicated to your stomach, but also sustainability.

Printed by Hemlock Printers on Domtar’s Lynx Opaque Ultra 30% Recycled paper, issue 09 of Toothache Magazine is a 144-page perfect-bound publication. In addition to being a part of Hemlock Printers Zero Carbon Neutral Print Paper Line, Lynx30 was also selected for its sharp contrast and excellent opacity, providing minimal to no show-through.

With the assistance of Swift Printing, ArtPrize brought back their event guide for the 2022 world-renowned event. The centerfold of the ArtPrize guide has a pull-out map for use as an easy reference and a QR code to an interactive digital map.

Swift Printing made 35,000 copies of the event guide, trusting 60 lb. Husky Opaque Offset, Smooth Finish to handle both the volume and design intricacies of the project. The Michigan-based company printed the 28-page guide using their Speedmaster XL 75 Anicolor from Heidelberg.

Each year, the admissions department at Kansas City’s oldest school, St. Teresa’s Academy, conceptualizes and designs an admissions viewbook/brochure. They plan to use this as their “main book” for admissions for at least two years.

A literary arts journal published annually since 2005, Sprung Formal was created and edited by students from the Liberal Arts and Graphic Design Departments at the Kansas City Art Institute.
