Domtar’s Sustainability Report Earns Industry Recognition

Domtar is pleased to share that its 2019 Sustainability Report has been chosen by three national communication organizations as the winner or finalist in corporate social responsibility publication and stewardship competitions. These awards are especially relevant to our employees, as more than 100 from across the company’s three divisions contributed to the production of the 2019 Sustainability Report. Their insights, ideas, expertise, interviews and data created the content that impressed judges and earned national recognition.

These accolades are also important to our customers, who’ve made it clear they want their choice of paper and personal care products to contribute to a healthier planet and a circular economy focused on responsible sourcing, recycling, reducing and reusing natural resources.  Here is the recognition list:

Ragan Communications has chosen our 2019 Sustainability Report as winner of its PR Daily Print Publication and Annual Report categories.

With nearly 200 finalists competing for the top prizes judged by globally regarded experts, Domtar joins an elite group of past and current winners including Microsoft, Aflac, T-Mobile, IBM, Toyota Motors, Bank of America, Mercedes-Benz, Cisco and The Home Depot.

  • PRNews Online has chosen our 2019 Sustainability Report as a finalist in its CSR & Nonprofit awards program in the category of Environmental Stewardship. Winners will be announced in October of 2020 in Washington, D.C.

More than 400 entries were submitted to the panel of PR News Online judges in the selection of finalists. The completion honors the most talented communicators who make the world a better place via corporate social responsibility and nonprofit publications and initiatives. Previous winners include PepsiCo, Inc., The Kroger Company, Raytheon, IBM and Caesars Entertainment.

The other two finalists in this year’s Environmental Stewardship category are Anheuser-Busch (Renewable Energy Portfolio) and the City of Miami Beach (Plastic-free program to minimize plastic waste into the Atlantic Ocean).
